Seven people were killed and 20 injured in Uttar Pradesh's Bijnore district when a truck rammed into a tractor-trolley, police said Tuesday.
The accident took place late Monday in Haldaur area in Bijnore, which is over 430 km from here.
Superintendent of Police Rajesh Krishna told IANS that the truck was speeding and the driver apparently lost control and it rammed head on into the tractor.
The tractor turned turtle due to the impact of the collision.
Seven people were killed on the spot while 20 were critically injured.
The injured have been admitted to a medical facility and the bodies have been taken for autopsy, police said.
The road was also blocked for traffic till the early hours of Tuesday and traffic resumed only when the two vehicles were removed.
