Six people were rescued after a building collapsed Friday in this Jammu and Kashmir summer capital, while the police said rescue operations are on to locate those still feared trapped under the debris.
It was not clear how many people are trapped under the debris. Those rescued said there were 10 people working inside when the building came down, police said.
An old two-storey private building which was in the process of being demolished in Parraypora area of Srinagar, police said.
The old building was being razed for new construction when the crane that was used to demolish it, came down on the building, causing it to collapse, police said.
