The New Delhi-Katra superfast train - the Shri Shakti Express - was stuck inside a tunnel in Jammu for over two hours Wednesday due to a technical fault, police said.
"The superfast Shri Shakti Express train was held up inside tunnel number 27 between Udhampur town and Katra railway station today (Wednesday) morning due to engine failure," a police source told IANS here.
"It reached Katra at 7 a.m. while it was scheduled to arrive at 5 a.m."
The superfast train was started between New Delhi and Katra from Monday. It covers the distance in less than 12 hours.
Katra is the base camp town of the hill shrine of Mata Vaishno Devi which is visited by millions of devotees from all over the country each year.
