Akkineni Nagarjuna-starrer Telugu film "Soggade Chinni Nayana", which released a week ago alongside three other Sankranti releases, has emerged victorious with over Rs.25 crore earnings at the ticket window.
"In its first week, the film collected over Rs.25 crore worldwide. The film was sold for Rs.15 crore and it's expected to do total business worth Rs.35 crore to Rs.40 crore, which makes it a successful venture," trade analyst Trinath told IANS.
"Soggade Chinni Nayana" released alongside NTR's "Nannaku Prematho", Balakrishna's "Dictator" and Sharwanand's "Express Raja".
Directed by Kalyan Krishna, the film is about how Nagarjuna, who plays a ghost, comes back to save his family.
In the film, Nagarjuna played the father and son. He was paired with actresses Ramya Krishnan and Lavanya Tripathi.
