Sonia, Rahul condole journalist Girish Nikam's death
Congress President Sonia Gandhi and Vice President Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday condoled the death of veteran journalist Girish Nikam.
Nikam, 59, passed away following a heart attack at a city hospital here on Monday.
Remembering him as a versatile journalist, Sonia Gandhi said Nikam was committed to the highest journalistic standards and ethics.
"My heartfelt condolences on the passing away of Girish Nikam. A veteran journalist who set a high bar, his presence will be missed," Rahul Gandhi said in a statement.
Nikam was associated with several prominent media houses, including the Rajya Sabha TV.
