Top Indian shuttler Kidambi Srikanth entered the men's singles final after his 17-21, 21-15, 21-18 win over compatriot Ajay Jayaram at the $120,000 Swiss Open Grand Prix Gold at the St. Jakobshalle stadium here on Saturday.
World No.4 Srikanth dropped the first game 17-21 against World No.43 Jayaram. But Srikanth, 22, came back stronger in the second game and controlled the pace of the game fom the begining.
He prevailed 21-15 in the second game and in the thid, he again showed his class and took the game 21-18.
With this win in 50 minutes, top seed Srikanth took a 2-0 lead career meetings over the 27-year-old Jayaram.
Srikanth, who last year defeated five-time World champion Lin Dan to clinch the China Open, will meet the winner between China's Xue Song and second seed Viktor Axelsen of Denmark.
