MIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi has urged the central government to stop the VHP from bringing stones and pillars into Ayodhya for building a grand Ram temple, saying no activity can be allowed there till the Supreme Court gives its final verdict in the case.

The MP from Hyderabad said the government should act immediately to stop any activity by the Vishwa Hindu Parishad, RSS, Bajrang Dal or any other organisation.

"We hope the government will stop its jokers till the Supreme Court decides the case," Owaisi told a massive public meeting organized by his Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (MIM) on the occasion of Milad-un-Nabi.

He said the Samajwadi Party government in Uttar Pradesh should have seized the stones. "It seems to be Noora Kushti (fixed fight between the SP and VHP) there."

Referring to RSS chief Mohan Bahgwat's statement that he wants to see a grand Ram temple in his lifetime, the MIM leader asked if his life was more important than the sanctity of the Supreme Court.

Owaisi advised Indian Muslim youths not to get misled by the ISIS propaganda over Internet and instead use their energies and skills to become lawyers, IPS officers and doctors.

This will help innocent Muslims who are in jails in various states, save lives of children who are dying due to poverty and diseases and contribute to the development of the country, he said.
