Telugu director Sukumar has followed in the footsteps of several directors turning producers. He has done so in a bid to back creative projects of his assistant directors.
He has named his banner Sukumar Entertainment Pvt Ltd.
"I wish to produce small and creative films. We desperately need films with unique concepts. To start with, I intend to produce films my assistant directors. A few of my associates already have interesting stories to be made into films," Sukumar told IANS.
"In a few days, I will share more information about the films I intend to produce. This is the only way to tap lot of talent around me," he added.
Sukumar, who is known for films such as "Arya" and "100% Love", is currently busy directing superstar Mahesh Babu in Telugu action-thriller "1: Nenokkadine".
