It was a sunny, clear Sunday morning in Delhi with the minimum temperature settling at 29.8 degrees Celsius, two notches above average for this time of the year. The Met Office has forecast a partly cloudy day ahead.
"The sky will be clear in the morning but will turn partly cloudy towards afternoon," said an official from the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
The maximum temperature is expected to hover around 39 degrees Celsius, the official added.
The humidity at 8.30 a.m. was 70 percent.
Saturday's both maximum and minimum temperatures settled three notches above average at 40.6 and 31.2 degrees Celsius, respectively.
Monsoon arrived in Delhi last Sunday, a fortnight ahead of schedule, but the national capital has not received rains since then due to "weak phase of monsoon", the IMD official said.
