It was a sunny and sultry morning in the capital Friday with the minimum temperature settling at 24.8 degrees Celsius, two notches below average for this time of the season. The met department has forecast light rainfall later in the day.
"Sky would be partly cloudy. Thunder development or light rainfall is likely in some areas of the city," said an India Meteorological Department (IMD) official.
Maximum and minimum temperatures will stay around 35 and 26 degrees Celsius, the official added.
Humidity was 73 percent at 8.30 a.m.
Thursday's maximum temperature was normal at 34.4 degrees Celsius while the minimum temperature was 26.3 degrees Celsius, a notch below average.
The national capital has recorded 415 mm of rain so far. This is 75 percent more than the average, the official said.
