External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj, who was admitted to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) here on Monday night with fever and chest congestion, was better by Tuesday evening.
"She is recovering well," said sources in the external affairs ministry, adding that the minister, 64, was suffering from pneumonia.
Sushma Swaraj was scheduled to address the senior officials' meeting here on Tuesday of the Heart of Asia Istanbul Process that is aimed at bringing peace and stability in Afghanistan. However, because of her indisposition, Minister of State for External Affairs V.K. Singh delivered the inaugural address.
