At least two people were killed Wednesday when a Taiwanese TransAsia Airways plane with over 50 people on board clipped a bridge and crashed into a river near Taipei, BBC reported.

Several people were reportedly injured following the domestic flight's crash. Taiwan's Central News Agency broadcast footage of the plane almost submerged in the Keelung river.

Contact with the ATR-72 flight, from Taipei to Kinmen, was lost at about 11 a.m. The plane was found in the river.
