Three men were arrested for robbery at gunpoint and also for stealing a car from Noida, police said here on Monday.
The accused have been identified as Hasim alias Doctor, 20, hailing from Shahjahanpur district in Uttar Pradesh, Asraf, 19, from Supaul district in Bihar and Rishu, 19, from Patna in Bihar.
Police said the accused first robbed some people who were travelling in a red coloured car at gunpoint in sector 58 in Noida. They then sped away in the car towards Gurgaon, leaving the victims behind.
The trio failed to show the car's papers at a police checkpoint in sector 18 in Gurgaon on Sunday night when stopped. During questioning they confessed that the car was stolen. A countrymade pistol and some cartridges were also recovered from them.
On Monday, the Gurgaon district court sent all three accused to judicial custody.
