TiE Hyderabad on Friday announced the launch of Young Entrepreneurs (TYE) programme for school students of classes 9-12.
The Entrepreneurial Education programme comprising sessions on 12 Sundays for 4 hours, is put together to stimulate entrepreneurial thought process through entrepreneurship coaching to young undergraduate and helping them discover the rewards and challenges of becoming an entrepreneur, TiE Hyderabad said in a statement.
The program was formally launched by Telangana's Principal Secretary, Information Technology, Jayesh Ranjan.
"TYE's business education initiative is a step to inspire young minds to be entrepreneurs through mentor-based workshops by established industry leaders, acknowledged for their innovation, leadership skills, creativity and self-confidence," said TiE Hyderabad President Pradeep Mittal.
Ranjan said there was a strong need to encourage job creators and catch them early, citing examples of many of the successful entrepreneurs who had started off at a very young age. He noted that TYE is starting right at the school level and will go on to support them as they grow up to become entrepreneurs in the future.
"The course finale includes a business plan competition with cash prizes at the regional level. Winner of the local business plan competitionAgains an opportunity to win a grand prize of $10,000 in the Global Competition and network with contenders from around the world," said Viveck Varma, Co-Chair TYE and CEO, Anaptyxi People Consult.
