Colombo, July 20 (IANS/WAM) The United Arab Emirates (UAE) embassy in Sri Lanka has gifted dates to the Maldivian government on the occasion of Ramadan.
UAE Ambassador to Sri Lanka Abdul Hamid Abdul Fatah Kadem handed over the quantities of dates, donated by the UAE Red Crescent Authority (RCA), to Maldives Minister for Islamic Affairs Sheikh Mohamed Shaheem Ali Saeed.
On this occasion, the Maldivian minister thanked the UAE government and people for helping people of Maldives, lauding the UAE's humanitarian initiatives to help the friendly countries.
