Dubai, July 14 (IANS/WAM) The UAE's Vice President and Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum has launched a Ramadan campaign which aims to provide clothes for 1,000,000 deprived children around the world.
The campaign will continue till Sep 19, which marks the UAE's Humanitarian Work Day, and the ninth death anniversary of Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan.
The clothing campaign was launched in collaboration with the UAE Red Crescent Authority.
Sheikh Mohammed said: "The holy month of Ramadan represents an exceptional opportunity to celebrate the values of goodness, giving and cooperation, which increases the importance of launching social and charitable constructive initiatives."
