Cabinet Secretary Pradeep Kumar Sinha on Saturday directed that all technical and human inputs, including satellite imagery, must be deployed to locate the helicopter carrying an IAS officer and two pilots that went missing in Arunachal Pradesh on Tuesday.
The Pawan Hans chopper, carrying Arunachal Pradesh's Tirap district Deputy Commissioner Kamlesh Joshi, and pilots M.S. Brar and Rajive Hoskote, went missing after taking off from Khonsa for Longding district.
Bad weather had hit the search and rescue operation, according to officials.
Reviewing the situation in Delhi, Sinha said all inputs must be deployed by both the state and the central governments to locate the missing officers and the helicopter, according to an official statement.
Union Home Secretary L.C. Goyal also reviewed the search operation at a high-level review meeting of the state and central government agencies.
The meeting was attended by the union defence secretary, the telecom secretary and officials of the external affairs ministry, the Arunachal Pradesh government, and the armed forces and central intelligence and security agencies.
