MDMK leader Vaiko called on ailing DMK leader M Karunanidhi at his residence here on Tuesday and enquired about his health.
Vaiko, who was with the DMK for a long time and split with the party in the early nineties, said Karunanidhi has a good memory and expressed confidence that he would get back to normal health and speak in his "magnetic voice".
He recalled his association with the elder statesman of the Dravidian movement, especially the role played by him in his initial days in Parliament and later nurturing him as a leader and parliamentarian.
Karunanidhi (93) has receded from public life for the past over nine months with age-related problems.
