A sunny, warm day was seen in the capital Friday with the maximum temperature recorded four notches above average at 38.1 degrees Celsius. The Met office has forecast a similar, clear Saturday.
"Skies will remain mainly clear Saturday with the maximum and minimum temperature likely to hover around 38 and 27 degrees Celsius respectively," said an India Meteorological Department (IMD) official.
Friday's minimum temperature settled at 26 degrees Celsius, average for the season, while the humidity wavered between a high of 72 percent and low of 39 percent respectively.
Thursday's maximum temperature settled four notches above the season's average at 38 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperature settled two notches above the season's average at 28 degrees Celsius.
