Indian IT bellwether Wipro Ltd Thursday unveiled a global customer experience centre at its Mountain View office in California off the US west coast to showcase emerging technologies.

"The hi-tech lab will demonstrate emerging technologies and proof of concepts to our global customers and give them an opportunity to preview the data centre, enterprise and cloud solutions in real world," Wipro said in a statement here.

Leveraging telecom equipment major Cisco's infrastructure for the German software major SAP, common platform architecture for big data and its application-centric infrastructure, the global software major (Wipro) will use interactive technologies available in the IT industry.

"Our centre aims to give customers an ecosystem they need to drive pilot projects and test new solutions before enterprise deployment," Wipro vice-president and global head for media vertical Malay Verma said on the occasion.

The lab has end-to-end visibility of business processes, better inventory forecast algorithms, streamlined supply chain processes, real-time analytics for industry-specific solutions, based on SAP's HANA platform and Cisco's servers.

"Besides machine-to-machine, digital marketing and social media analytics for big data, we are demonstrating hybrid cloud migration strategies and internet of Everything across industries at the centre," Verma pointed out.

The centre will also serve as an incubation and demonstration platform for the company's customers worldwide.

"In a dynamic business environment, customers are looking for complete industry solutions that can provide real-time insights into their core business processes," Verma noted.

Wipro and Cisco are jointly working to develop solutions that can be delivered through flexible consumption models in a hybrid cloud environment.

"The world-class facility is being used to establish thought leadership and create solutions that solve customers' major business problems," Cisco vice-president for global and strategic partnership Rick Snyder observed.

Wipro chairman Azim Premji and Cisco president for development and sales Robert Lloyd were present on the occasion.

The first centre was set up in this tech hub in 2012 and another centre on energy industry was opened at Houston in Texas in 2013.
