A 20-year-old woman in Gurgaon was critically injured when she resisted an alleged molestation attempt in a moving car by the brother of her employer and the vehicle crashed, police said on Wednesday.
The victim, who lives near Mehrauli in Delhi, worked as a receptionist at a club in a mall here on the Mehrauli-Gurgaon road.
She said in the complaint that the brother of her employer offered her a lift in his car after work on Tuesday night.
She said the accused took the car to sector 52 instead of heading towards Mehrauli.
The accused started molesting her and tore her clothes.
"The speeding car overturned after hitting a road divider when the victim resisted," a senior police officer told IANS.
The woman is being treated at a private hospital here.
Police said the accused who was also reportedly injured in the incident is absconding.
