Union Minister V K Singh has alleged that the media debate on intolerance in India right before the Bihar Assembly elections was politically motivated just like the debate on attacks on the Christian community prior to the Delhi Assembly elections. Singh, the minister of state for external affairs, told reporters on the sidelines of the Regional Pravasi Bharatiya Divas in Los Angeles over the weekend that someone was paying for the debate and the media was just playing ball. He insisted that "inclusiveness" was the hallmark of the current government, which was working to create an investor-friendly climate in India.
