Rumours have been flying thick and fast that Bharatiya Janata Party member Navjot Singh Sidhu is planning to join the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP).

Without denying or confirming the news, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said he was confident the AAP would repeat its performance in the Delhi Assembly polls in Punjab, where Assembly elections are slated to be held in 2017.

But of course, "we will welcome Navjot Singh Sidhu if he wants to join (the) AAP", Kejriwal said. "As far as (the) face of the party is concerned, it will emerge at the right time."
