8.2 mn new electorates to get coloured ID cards in UP

Election Commission will issue 8.2 million coloured Electoral Photo Identity Card (EPIC) to 8.2 million new electorates in Uttar Pradesh.

The exercise would be completed by February 15, UP Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Umesh Sinha told the media here this evening.

After February 15, the existing voters would also have the option to get coloured EPIC by paying a fee of Rs 15, he informed.
