'Congress-mukt Bharat' is not Modi's idea, it is Gandhi's: PM in RS

We are 'aim chasers', we achieve targets within time limit, said Modi

"You don't need New India, but India of Emergency, Bofors and chopper scams," Prime Minister Narendra Modi told Congress in Rajya Sabha.

While responding to Congress' charge of Modi government being a 'name changer government', Modi said, "We are 'aim chasers', we achieve targets within time limit."

"We want Mahatma Gandhi's India as he had said there is no need of Congress now. 'Congress-mukt Bharat' is not Modi's idea, it is Gandhi's idea," he said.

"Who stopped you for 30 years from bringing a law to abolish Triple Talaq but you gave up the opportunity when your vote bank was threatened," PM asked Congress.
