'Potable water in all villages of Punjab by 2013'

He inaugurated a water supply system setup at a cost of Rs 32.52 lakh in Nalunga village near here.

Sharma, who is also Pathankot MLA, said while more than Rs 22 crore has been spent on augmenting water supply scheme in rural belt, efforts were being made in improving existing amenities in villages to make Pathankot a model district.

"A comprehensive water supply has been prepared as per poll promises and the scheme will cover the whole rural belt of Pathankot district," he said.
