12-year-old kidnapped girl rescued from Roorkee

A 12-year-old girl was kidnapped from Vasant Vihar area here by a security guard, following which she was safely rescued from Roorkee today by the police and the accused was arrested.
The girl was kidnapped yesterday from Vasant Vihar area and a complaint was lodged with the police by the father of the girl, police said.
Acting on specific information, a police team nabbed the 18-year-old security guard, identified as Chandanraj Sharma, from Roorkee today and rescued the girl, they added.
During preliminary interrogation, it was found that the accused was working in Vasant Vihar area and kidnapped the girl yesterday, police said.
