2 from Delhi killed in mishap on GT Road

Two persons from Delhi were today killed while a third was seriously injured in a car accident on GT Road near Bahalgarh, police said.
According to police, one Aditya had been driving the car in which two of his friends, identified as Ranjan and Vikrant, had accompanied him to Murthal.
It was on their way back from there that they met with the accident which, police suspect, was caused as a result of an unknown vehicle hitting their car.
When police reached the spot, the second vehicle was nowhere to be seen.
While Ranjan was killed on the spot, Aditya breathed his last at a local hospital. Vikrant, whose condition is stated to be critical, has been referred to PGI, Rohtak.
Meanwhile, another Delhi resident, identified as Anantaram Gupta of Shakarpur, was killed near Uttarakhand's Roorkee after being run over by a truck.
Police said that the mishap occurred last evening on the Haridwar-Delhi National Highway.
According to police, Gupta was on a motorcycle when he suddenly lost his balance and fell on the road. He was then run over by a truck which was coming from behind.
Gupta's friend, Mahipal, who was riding pillion, sustained serious injuries.
Police said that the driver of the truck fled the scene following the accident.
