2 girls kidnapped over land dispute

A man has been booked for allegedly kidnapping his cousin sister and her friend in Kotwali area, police said here today.
The accused, Rahul Gupta, alleged was to have kidnapped his cousin Shikha (18) and her friend Khushboo yesterday, they said.
The girls had last evening left Shikha's house for market. When they did not return till late night the family began searching for them and spotted her scooty in a secluded place, they said.
Their mobile phones were put under surveillance and their last location was found between Bareilly and Moradabad, police said.
Gupta, who stays in Moradabad, was suspected of involvement as their families have a running dispute over a piece of land, sources said.

A case was lodged against Gupta last night, they said, adding that efforts were being made to trace the girls.
