Naseem Banu, owner of S K Institute of Professional Studies located at Malkajgiri area here and Mohd Khader, who works as office assistant, were apprehended by sleuths of Special Operation Team (East Zone), a release issued by Cyberabad Police said.
The duo was supplying fake educational certificates of a fictitious University - Mahatma Gandhi Kashi Vidyapith, Varanasi - by collecting huge money from gullible persons who were aspiring to go abroad for job purposes, it added.
"Once the customers approached Banu, she told them that it will be one sitting course and they have to attend the exam after six months.
She charged Rs 19,000 for SSC (class X), Rs 24,000 for intermediate, Rs 30,000 for degree and Rs 90,000 for professional courses, they said.
The accused used to get the educational certificates like provisional marks sheet, migration certificates and transfer certificates of the candidates from a Delhi-based institute, police said, adding, till now 15 candidates approached her out which she got certificates for seven of them.
