"The saw mills owned by Palli Ram and Joginder Lal located at Nardi Wala Tehsil Akhnoor were dismantled by the field staff of Jammu Forest Division," an official spokesman said.
He said that these saw mills were functioning illegally in violation of the saw mills rules.
"There was resistance from the owners of the illegal saw mills but the situation was handled and the parts of saw mills were seized and brought to Forest Complex Gladni Jammu," he said
He said that 'The Forest Offence Report (FOR)' has been registered against the owners of the illegal saw mills for violation of various sections of J&K Forest Act.
