Police said today that the school boy and his friend were booked under relevant sections of Prevention of Cyber Crime Act and Information Technology Act last night.
According to the police, one of the accused befriended the Class XI girl and took her to a hotel; and on promise of marrying her he took some private pictures of her.
After that day, both the accused started demanding money from her and threatened to make the pictures public if she did not oblige.
Phagwara DSP, Jasbir Singh Rai is investigating the matter.
