The two patients, one from Sehore city and the other from Baijnath in Ashta tehsil, were referred to Bhopal after they tested positive for the H1N1 viral infection, Sehore's Chief Medical and Health Officer R K Gupta said.
Though a special ward for treatment of swine flu was set up in the district hospital, the authorities preferred to refer the patients to Bhopal, which is about 40 km from here, he said.
There have been 81 deaths so far this year due to swine flu in MP while 352 patients have tested positive for the infection, as per the state health department.
