2007 blasts: Court issues notices to SSP, DIG Lucknow, IG

A court here has issued notice to three top Lucknow police officials and city jail authority seeking their clarification for not producing 2007 court blast accused before it in the last three hearings.
Special Judge Farid Ul Haque issued show cause notice to Lucknow SSP, DIG Lucknow, IG Lucknow Zone and to Lucknow jail authorities.
Accused Tariq Qasmi, Sajjadur Rahman and Mohammad Akhtar, lodged in Lucknow jail, are being tried at special court in Faizabad for serial court blasts that took place on November 23, 2007, in the court premises of Faizabad, Lucknow and Banaras.
Continuously for the last three hearings, February 23, March 11 and March 20, the Lucknow jail administration has not produced the accused before the court, for which the court has also expresses it strong displeasure, said defence lawyer Mohammad Shoib.
