Shejwal (32), an aspirant for February 21 election to the Nashik Municipal Corporation (NMC), while returning home on the night of January 20 was knocked down by a car and then attacked by the accused trio -- Anil Digraskar, Rambhau Chavan and Rahul Gotarane -- with sharp edged weapons following an old enmity.
The accused were arrested from Shirdi yesterday. Police have also seized the car that was used for the murder.
