"The trio has been booked under various sections of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act," Meenakshi Nautiyal, Lohaghat police station incharge, said.
"In an operation by the special task force of Kumaon police, 8.2 kilograms of charas was seized while it was being carried to Delhi by the trio in a car," she said.
According to Champawat police, it is the third such case of drug smuggling in the district this year.
