3 arrested with brown sugar worth crores in J-K

Three alleged drug peddlers have been arrested with brown sugar worth crores of rupees here, police said today.
Acting on a tip-off, a police party apprehended the peddlers in Pandith Bagh locality of Lal Bazar and one kg of brown sugar was recovered, a police spokesman said.
The arrested drug peddlers were identified as Mehraj Din Marazi, Wahid Ahmad Sheikh - both residents of Sonawar and Tawheed Yaqoob, a resident of Namlebal, Pampore, the spokesman said.
He said the police have registered a case under NDPS Act against the drug peddlers and investigation has started.
