3 cops suspended in Doda

Three policemen have been suspended for alleged dereliction of duty and criminal misconduct in mountainous Doda district of Jammu and Kashmir, police said today.
Goha police post in-charge ASI Mohd Sharief, Head Constable Balwant Singh and Constable Mohd Sadiq were placed under suspension yesterday for harassing a complainant and demanding bribe to settle a case, they said.
An inquiry related to criminal misconduct and dereliction of duty was pending against them, following which they were suspended, they said.
