Officials of Wayanad District Tourism Promotion Council said that the Wayanad Adventure Camp, the Priyadarshini Tea Environs at Pancharakolly and Kanthapara waterfalls were thrown open to public.
The Wayanad Adventure Camp, set up at a cost of Rs 1 crore on a 13.4 acre site near Karlad lake, is the first of its kind in south India, they said, adding it would have facilities for adventure sports like kayaking, climbing on rock panel, zip line, archery and land zorbing, they said.
The Priyadarshini Tea Environ, set up at a cost of Rs 1.5 lakh, is a co-operative society for rehabilitation of the bonded tribal people in the district.
A tea museum is a major attraction at the spot, officials said.
