Lakshmi, while playing below the flyover came on the road and was hit by the bus that was going to pick some people at around 6.30 PM, said a senior police officer.
The girl was rushed to hospital but was declared brought dead.
As soon as the accident occurred, a crowd gathered but the bus driver managed to flee from the spot, he added.
Lakshmi's father works as a labourer and they used to stay below the flyover, he said.
