360 cartons of smuggled liquor seized from UP

360 cartons of smuggled country made foreign liquor were seized from a property dealer's office in Loni town this evening by the Excise Department, officials said.
District Excise Officer Karunendra Singh said following a tip-off, a raid was conducted at a property dealer's office under Tronica police station area and 360 cartons of liquor of market value around Rs 20 lakh were seized.
An FIR has been lodged against Sanjay, a resident of Gadhi Sabloo village, who is the alleged kingpin of the smuggling racket.
Department is probing the case but no arrests have been made so far, they added.
