399 posts of teachers vacant in Goa govt schools

As many as 399 posts of teachers are lying vacant in government-run schools in Goa, Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar has said.

In a written reply given in the state Assembly yesterday, Parrikar, who also holds the education portfolio, said 192 posts of teachers were vacant in high schools, 109 in higher secondary schools and 90 in primary schools.

Besides, eight posts of middle school teachers were also unfilled, he told the House.
