4 child labourers freed from brick kiln

Four bonded child labourers who belonged to Punjab were today freed from a brick kiln at Kathua in Jammu and Kashmir, a senior official said.
Project Director, Child Line, Gurdaspur, Romesh Mahajan said acting on a tip off that four children, including two girls, from Gurdaspur district had been bonded at a brick kiln at Kathua, we established contacts with senior officials in Kathua and freed Isha, Tamanna, Jassi and Chahat.
They were repatriated to their respective parents at Bariar village in Gurdaspur district today, he said, adding that Child Line is open at Number 1098 for round-the-clock in Gurdaspur district.
