A large group of Bodo people attempted to set on fire Adivasi village Damruguri under Serfunguri police station, IGP L R Bishnoi said.
To prevent the arson, police fired in the air and arrested four persons, Bishnoi said, adding no person was injured in the firing.
There was no report of any fresh incident of violence today, the IGP added.
