The government libraries will now be known as 'Rajkiya Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Sarvjanik Pushtakalya', School Education Minister Vasudev Devnani said in a statement.
These libraries are operated by languages and libraries department of the state government at division, district and panchayat level, he said.
As per the state government orders, these 35 public libraries have been named after Pandit Deen Dayal, Devnani said.
Earlier, Devnani had sparked a controversy by saying that biographies of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, RSS founder Keshav Baliram Hedgewar, along with 73 other books will be circulated across 500 school libraries.
