6, including 2 minors, killed in road accident in Gujarat

Two kids, aged five and six, were among the six persons killed today after the auto rickshaw they were travelling in was hit by a car on Mehasana-Visnagar highway at Bela village here, police said.
Besides, two other persons were taken injured in the incident, they said.
"The car rammed into the rickshaw at the Bela bus-stand," inspector V C Parmar of Visnagar tehsil police station said.
The deceased were identified as Kaushal Hitesh Makwana, his mother Rupal Hitesh Makwana, Mehul Jitrabhai Vagha, his mother Sangita Jitrabhai Vagha, Ishwar Ramji Darji and Amrut Shanakr Solanki.
While the six died on the spot, the injured persons were taken to Mehsana district civil hospital, Parmar said.

The police have registered a case of culpable homicide not amounting to murder and rash driving under section 304 of the IPC against the car driver who fled after the incident.
