81,907 licensed arms deposited in Haryana

81,907 licensed arms have been deposited by their holders in Haryana following directions of the election authorities to ensure peaceful election in 10 Lok Sabha constituencies in the state on April 10.
"With a view to ensuring peaceful conduct of upcoming general elections, the process of depositing licensed arms has been started and 81,907 licensed arms have so far been deposited," Chief Electoral Officer Shrikant Walgad said today.
Besides, 31,300 bottles of liquor have been seized from different districts, he said, adding unaccounted money of Rs 31.40 lakh has been seized.
