The party has decided that all its MLAs will collectively contribute Rs 5.40 crore in the Kashmir relief fund.
"A decision was taken to donate money for the relief operations in Jammu and Kashmir at a meeting of AAP MLAs," senior party leader Manish Sisodia said.
"The guidelines issued for MLAs in 2012 allow each member to request for releasing upto Rs 35 lakh every year for providing relief to the victims of natural disasters and natural calamities, from their MLA Local Area Development Scheme," an AAP leader said.
The party's Jammu and Kashmir unit has informed there is acute shortage of emergency articles which can be used by flood-hit people ranging for water bottles to packed food items like biscuits and dry milk powder and immediate first aid kits.
