The company had posted a net profit of Rs 49.76 crore for the corresponding period of the previous fiscal, Abbott India said in a BSE filing.
Standalone total income from operations also rose to Rs 682.97 crore during the quarter under consideration as against Rs 600.87 crore in the same period of the previous fiscal.
For the fiscal ended March 31, 2016, the net profit of the company rose to Rs 259.63 crore from Rs 228.96 crore in the previous fiscal.
In a separate filing, the company said its board has recommended a final dividend of Rs 35 per equity share of Rs 10 each.
Shares of Abbott India today closed 0.98 per cent higher at Rs 4,554.45 per scrip on BSE.
