Absent teachers set to lose day's salary

Acting on the complaints of parents regarding teacher absenteeism, surprise checks were conducted last evening at various schools, Basic Education Officer K K Singh said.

It was found that many teachers were absent, the officer said, adding, their one day salary would be deducted.
